Manufacturing

All protection systems are produced in-house and all materials and components are triple-checked for quality and traceability. Each batch of products is tested ensuring product quality.

Plasan Re’em has the expertise required to process steel armor, including advanced Ultra High Hardness (UHH) steel. Scalable production processes enable the full run of testing – from hardness and automotive, through first article inspection and process control, on to final testing before delivery – to be applied to small or large series production runs or vehicle fleets.

This also enables Plasan Re’em to design and ship armor kits, or manufacture a full turn-key vehicle finished to a high standard with all paintwork, automotive and electronics completed and the vehicle registered to EU, US, CE/FMVSS standards.

Metal cutting

Plasan Re’em maintains its own stocks of steel, all of which is assessed and tracked in strict batches to ensure consistency of material and high-quality standards can be assured.

All cutting work is accurately nested to minimize wastage and keep costs down, as well as enabling precision fabrication.

Welding

Plasan Re’em is focused on reducing traditional weak points, such as joins between armor panels and has developed its own welding procedures specifications (WPS) to ensure unrivalled strength in joins. All welders undergo rigorous testing every three months and are skilled at working on HBW300 to HBW660 UHH steel plate.

Bending

Plasan Re’em addresses traditionally challenging areas such as welds and bends using a range of proprietary techniques to strengthen or eliminate all weak points without compromising material integrity. The techniques can be applied across all metal armor from light aluminum to UHH steel.

Painting

Protected vehicles can be covered with wet or powdered paints, electro-static coatings and metal working.
